Hasan Burjaq

ChrHasan Burjaq obtained his Bachelor of General Studies with concentration in Biology & Chemistry and his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Xavier University - Cincinnati, OH, USA. He has acquired his Master’s degree in Health Studies: Leadership from Athabasca University –Canada.

He is a qualified embryologist with a breadth experience of more than 26 years in the ART field. He was trained on ARTs in the Howard and Georgina Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine- Norfolk Virginia in 1996. He worked as Laboratory Manager for the ARTs clinic of King Hussein Medical Center in Amman, Jordan, as a Senior Embryologist in the Toronto Center for Advanced Reproductive Technology in Canada and served as IVF lab supervisor in Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. He played a key role in establishing the new IVF laboratory at HMC and is currently the Assistant Executive Director of Clinical Services at the Department of Reproductive Medicine in the Women’s Wellness and Research Center at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar.

He is a member of many international societies and has been involved in research with focus a on ARTs. His research has resulted in several publications in high impact factor journals, as well as several poster presentations at national and international conferences. He is a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001: 2015, a Certified Reproductive Embryologist by the American College of Embryology, a Certified Laboratory Supervisor by the American Association of Bioanalysts and a Certified Peer Review Inspector by the Ministry of Public Health- Qatar.
